Carl Emil Carlsen (b. 1982, Denmark) is a Copenhagen based visual artist exploring the machine as a generative medium. Currently, he is most interested in implementing fictive ecosystems in physical environments, crafting audiovisual coherence and exposing patterns through visualisation. Apart from his personal work he teaches procedural methods at Danish design schools and consults design companies in interactive media. He is part of the art & technology collective Science Friction and wants to climb Olympus Mons.
