Esther Johnson is an artist, filmmaker, photographer and curator of diverse film programmes. She studied at the University of London and the Royal College of Art in London. Johnson’s work, which takes a poetic-experimental approach to documentary and narrative, through film, video, audio, photography installation and writing has been shown internationally at film festivals, exhibitions and on TV. Johnson is also a lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and former director and curator of Hull Film and the Hull International Short Film Festival.
