Iouliani Theona has a background in architecture, and her research interests focus on mediated environments. Currently she investigates hybrid spatial experiences as a PhD candidate in the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. She also collaborates with the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies of the University of Athens as a researcher, where she actively participates in the organization of the Hybrid City conference and events since 2011.
