Rasmus Fleischer is a Swedish historian and essayist, working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economic History at Stockholm University, and in the project Streaming Heritage. His academic work is mostly located in the intersection of media history and the critique of political economy, with a particular focus on the commodification of music. He was previously a member of The Bureau for Piracy (2003–2009) and has been part of panels on internet politics at previous editions of transmediale.
