Seoi and Jun
“Triggered by the denial of Hong Kong people’s universal suffrage promised by the Chinese government, tens of thousands took to the streets on September 28th, 2014. The police used tear gas to disperse peaceful demonstrators, resulting in the occupation of Admiralty, Mong Kok and Causeway Bay for two and a half months. The event was widely and internationally reported, the protestors initially used umbrellas to block the pepper spread employed by the police, therefore it was named Umbrella Movement. Seoi and Jun whom I met in the dying stage of the movement are full of surprises, tremendous display of youthful energy, speaking their mind without hesitation, they reminded me of a remote past that they probably have never heard of.” (Lo King-wah)
